othelladub's Diaryland Diary

Things I've learned

(1) Alcoholics do not leave drinking establishments until closing time or involuntary physical ejection.

(2) Love hurts.

(3) Time passes, raining upon us blessings and curses through the same cold process.

(4) The girl who doesn't want to talk to you is always prettier than her friend - who, sadly, does.

(5) To be a Don Juan is to be a liar; the Machiavellis of the nightlife are far more prodigious than its Martin Luthers.

(6) Love is worth it.

(7) As the John Lennon "character" in the film Backbeat forcefully posits - "It's all dick," really.

(8) We are alive. We are here. We exist.

(9) She doesn't love you anymore.

(10) Friendship and loyalty often overcome the obstacle of having virtually nothing in common.

(11) Friends will let you down.

(12) Talking about what pains you - ejecting it from one's bloody orange of a heart; is useful.

(13) Memories are like time; both a blessing and a curse.

(14) Alcohol is responsible for more pain, suffering, and pregnancy than can be counted on one hand.
